8/22 Day 164: Lakeshore House Hostel. We camped outside (because it was cheaper) in the only patch of grass(ish) (smaller than our tent) to the left of this picture. It wasn't our best setup, but we did the best we could do. That night A storm rolled in and the wind coming off the lake was 60 mph (Rebeka at the hoste told us later). We spent the whole night trying to keep the stakes down and holding up my raincoat so the wind didn't blow the rain into our tent (because there wasn't enough room to set up the vestibule). At 3:00am the storm got the better of us and ripped up the stakes and knocked down our tent. So us and our puddle of sleeping bags gave up the fight and retreated indoors.
